Bob Dein Bob Dein has been a very casual photographer for several years, but recently purchased a Nikon D70s and is becoming more serious. He finds equal interest and challenge in image capturing and image manipulation in Photoshop. As an avid boater, many of his photographs are water related. Bob says "The informal, friendly atmosphere of the Venice Camera Club has been an enjoyable, non-threatening environment for learning and sharing images."
John Hazard Many of our members have been known to retouch or otherwise enhance their photographs using Photoshop. In this gallery you'll find some of John Hazard's original, un-touched images.
John Hazard In March several members when to the Arcadia All-Florida Championship Rodeo - here's what we saw in 10 seconds at the rodeo.
Don Sussman Steve and Trish Robbins have had a long interest in art. Trish has been successful as a quilter but most recently has developed a passion for painting and collage. She enjoys photography in the pure sense with great composition and little photo manipulation. Steve, on the other hand, enjoys photo manipulation but also likes pure photography. They both like to take photos of people, landscapes, flowers, wildlife and old architecture. The Venice Camera Club has been a warm, friendly way to improve their photographic skills.
Don Sussman For Don Sussman photography has been a casual hobby, usually combined with travel. Somehow when you are in an unfamiliar place things are revealed. Good pictures are first a function of what you see and then how you work the process to help others see what you saw. Don shoots with an assortment of Olympus and Cannon Compact Cameras. You can't capture the moment if your camera isn't ready. Joining the great photographers at VCC has been an inspiration and an invaluable learning experience.
Paul Zappala Paul Zappala had lost much of his interest in Photography. It was only after joining VCC and meeting the many talented photographers that the passion returned. Although his subject matter is varied, his special interest is action shots. Paul currently shoots with Nikon Digital. Remember "It is all about the light".
Joe Holler Joe Holler started into photography in 2006. He likes to takes pictures of people, places and things. He uses a Nikon D70S and gets a kick out of manipulating images and applying special effects with Photoshop CS3.
John Hazard John Hazard has been passionate about photography since 1985 and went digital in 1998. Birds are his current subject, but who knows what's around the corner. He has to have the latest Photoshop version and has been using CS3 beta since it came out.
